Stop-Motion Animation Week 2 – Ease In And Out
Media Project – Week 14 (Final Week)
This week is the final week of the Media Project module; I have finished my short animation, which was basically an approximately 30-second animated promotion for a client called Famous Nap Exchange which specialises in exchanging celebrity-related reminiscences, based off the style of the Italian short cartoon La Linea that aired from the 1970s to mid-1980s in Italy and around the world.
Media Project – Week 13
This week, I am currently up to the part where the line of my La Linea-inspired character merging into the floor.
Media Project – Week 12
On Friday, I drew this inbetween to show the anticipation in the character’s leap from his bed to the line representing the floor.

On Saturday, I added a feet-like lump to the character’s blanket so that it is evident and clear that he is pulling his legs out of the blanket as he gets up.

On Sunday, I finally got around finishing the frame of the character springing mid-air. I mostly had to draw the hands and one arm on that frame.

Also, I included one subtle detail to the animation: the pillow I drew on Tuesday behind the character falls backwards when he starts to lift up his head when he is alerted by the message on the screen.
On Monday:

Later, on Tuesday and Wednesday, I added more jump frames:
Finally, on Thursday, I drew the last frame of the jump sequence in which he touches the floor.

Media Project – Week 11
On Monday, I finally started to animate the La Linea-esque character sleeping on his bed.

Later, on Tuesday, I added some ZZZ onomatopoeia to make it more evident that he is snoring, along with a screen from F.N.E. (i.e. the client) sliding down from nowhere.

On Wednesday, I drew his arms growing.

On Thursday, the same.

Media Project – Week 10
This week, I got around to actually start the animation.
Media Project – Week 9
In Week 9, there was a second Crit Session that I missed because I wanted to show my work.
Media Project – Week 8
In the eighth week of the Media Project module, I observed Dan, my animation supervisor, showing us a typical animation in Adobe After Effects is done.
